Unfortunately I am unable to get the phase 3 project to work just yet, I think I have the shell there, but I haven’t been able to get it to function properly.
The past two months has been a bit challenging in terms of work, due to my line of work in the financial services industry and coinciding with the busiest time of the entire year. Despite attempting to do the labs, I don’t think I fully understand the concepts yet, that’s probably the biggest reason why I am unable to get the app to work yet.
As with previous projects I have attempted to rely on help from the internet to build this project, but I find there’s significantly less support available online compared to the previous two modules. Unfortunately, I also find Ruby to be the most challenging language so far, so to do this project, I have needed to rely on my limited understanding of the concepts, and attempting to build it out.
I have used some of the labs as my guide, and also the demo project ‘WorldsBestRestaurants’ to get me started. My app intends to return the 10 most livable cities in the world. I think I will continue to try to understand the concept and work on the app during the week, hopefully I’ll get it to work soon.
